OASIS
The Oasis Program is a weekly community-based program organized by KCSC for adults with disabilities, held every Thursday. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where participants build friendships, develop greater independence, and stay connected to their community after high school. Through a variety of activities and community experiences, participants strengthen social, communication, and daily living skills while learning to confidently access community resources and contribute through volunteer service and positive engagement. The program also provides families with an opportunity to enjoy a few hours of well-deserved respite, knowing their loved ones are in a safe, caring, and enriching environment. Weekly activities include Art, Music, Physical Activities, Games, and Special Themed Activities. Throughout the year, participants enjoy community outings for field trips or community services that encourage real-life learning and community involvement. We also invite community members to share their experiences and inspire participants to discover new interests, learn valuable skills, and broaden their understanding of the world around them. At Oasis, we believe everyone deserves opportunities to learn, grow, serve, and belong. Together, we create a safe, joyful and inclusive community where adults with disabilities can build friendships, gain practical life skills, give back through volunteer service, and enjoy meaningful experiences.
