Child Development & Milestone Workshop

March Workshop for Families with 2-3-Year-Olds

We are excited to invite families of young children (ages 2-3) to our upcoming March workshop series.

As children transition from infancy to toddlerhood, families often experience many changes—some joyful and exciting, and others more challenging.

During these workshops, we will explore essential developmental knowledge and age-appropriate skills that help create supportive environments where toddlers can thrive. At this stage, a child’s brain is highly active and shaped by daily routines and interactions. It is especially important for caregivers to understand what to expect at this stage of development and how to provide the right support.

In this two-part series, we will focus on:

  • how to support toddlers in using their growing thinking skills through pretend play

  • how to adjust play activities to help toddlers practice problem-solving skills

  • how to support language development, as toddlers learn new words every day and begin to understand and follow two-step directions

  • how to support fine motor development, helping toddlers gain better control of their hands to support play and daily activities.

Over the course of two days, participants will build a deeper understanding of toddler development, learn about key milestones, and strengthen strategies to help children reach their full potential.

This two-part workshop will be held on Saturday, March 28, and Saturday, April 4, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the KCSC Tukwila Office.

We look forward to your participation in this engaging and informative workshop series that supports your family’s journey through early childhood.
