2023 YouthKAN SUMMER PROGRAM

Join other Asian American high school students for A 5-day OVERNIGHT institute for high school youth to build a toolbox of skills in critical thinking, collective power, storytelling, identity development, and dialogue. You will build relationships across ethnicity and geography, and educate each other on community problems and their impacts on community health and well-being.

2023 Annual YouthKAN Summer Training Institute will be held on July 10-14, 2023 at Crane Island, Washington. Car and boat transportation will be provided from Korean Community Service Center, 22727 Hwy 99, Edmonds, WA 98026.

Last day to register: Friday, June 16, 2023.

2023 WeKAN SUMMER PROGRAM

Korean Community Service Center is hosting its annual week-long summer program for Korean American middle school aged youth. Youth will have fun exploring their identities while building relationships and community with other Korean American youth outdoors before they return to school.

WeKAN Summer Training Institute for Korean American middle school students will be held on July 31 ~ August 4, 2023 in partnership with Glacier Peak Institute. 

Middle schoolers will meet at KCSC offices each day at 8am and be picked up each day at KCSC offices at 5:30 pm, except on Thursday August 2nd, when students will camp overnight in Darrington, WA and return to be picked up on Friday at 5:30pm. Food and transportation to activities will be provided by KCSC. Students will participate in outdoor adventures, such as foraging, fishing, hiking, and rafting. Students do not need any previous experience in these activities to participate. Students who can attend all day will be given priority. Registration for WeKAN Summer Training Institutes closes on July 7, 2023.
